We're George and Joshua, a two person design studio (and Halloween enthusiasts who got married on Halloween in 2022!).

Every design starts as an original illustration, hand drawn by us, and we see it personally through to print. We wanted Birdhouse197 to feel elegant and artistic, gothic and alternative romance that sets the tone for your day without tipping into tacky Halloween costume territory (though we love that too).

Yes! We offer sample packs for both save the dates and invitation suites, and the cost comes off your total if you go on to place a full order.

Photos never quite capture gold foil and paper quality the way holding a piece in your hands does, so we'd always recommend starting with a sample before committing.

Every wedding is different, but as a general guide we'd suggest save the dates around 6 to 12 months before your day, and your invitation suite or evening invitations around 6 months before, which leaves plenty of time for design and revisions.

On a shorter timeline? Don't worry, our turnaround is genuinely fast (4 to 5 weeks from order to delivery), so we can often still help.

Every design comes with unlimited revisions, so we'll work with you until it's exactly right before anything goes to print.

Yes! We ship to a range of countries, including the US, Canada and Australia, with the exception of the EU, which we're not able to ship to at the moment due to new packaging regulations. We're hopeful that will change soon and we'll update this the moment it does.
