The Star Tarot | The Story Behind the Design
When I designed The Star I took direct inspiration from the classic Rider-Waite imagery but interpreted in my own style. The original card features a figure pouring water from two jugs and I kept that detail, honouring the source while making something unmistakably mine. The dark to midnight blue gradient came from wanting a colour that genuinely complemented the star motif, representing the sky at its deepest just before dawn.
For me The Star is about possibilities and what the future holds. Two people moving in the same direction with the same plan, for life. As with all my tarot inspired designs, my own intuition guides the meaning as much as the classic reading does.
