Gatefold Wedding Invitations

Our gatefold wedding invitations have the wow factor and feel special to open. They open from the centre, a bit like opening a precious box, and we often use symmetry to create balance across the two sides. It's quite an unusual format, and if we're anything, it's unusual. Sometimes written gate fold, these are our folded wedding invitations, and they're true all in one wedding invitations: matte finished, fully flexible with colour, with all your details on one card.

Skeleton Lovers is a favourite with our couples, and we can see why. Our own personal favourite is Candle & Key, with its gallery wall style illustrations and nods to all the details. It's magical, a bit spooky and totally different. Getting that invitation sets the vibe for your wedding day long before the day itself.

For replies, most couples opt for a phone number, a website or a QR code, which we can easily create and include for you. We also sell separate RSVP cards in various styles to match.

All in One Wedding Invitations

A gatefold is a true all in one wedding invitation. There are three spaces to fill: the front, the inside and the back. Inside there's plenty of space for the key details, and we can include a QR code. If you have lots of finer details and want to include it all, there's the back too. One card, everything on it.

Most of our gatefolds can pair the front of one design with the inside of another. Love Skeleton Lovers on the outside and Candle & Key inside? No problem at all.

The Front

This is where the illustration lives. The two sides meet in the middle, and our designs often use symmetry to create balance across them. On some designs the front can carry your names, your initials, or your own silhouettes.

The Inside

It opens from the centre to your invitation. There's plenty of space for the key details: who, when, where and the order of the day. Some couples add a photograph of the two of them here, and you can pair the front of one design with the inside of another.

The Back

The back is yours to use however you need. It's the place for the finer details, like accommodation, gift lists or timings, and for a QR code to your wedding website or RSVP. If you'd like a photo on the back, we can do that too.

Gatefold Wedding Invitations With Your Photo Inside

Personalising with a photograph of the two of you is possible on some of our designs. Send over a photo, or a few options, and we'll mock them up for you. Perfect if you've had an engagement shoot and want to show off the beautiful photos.

5x7 Gatefold Invitations | Size, Card and Finish

Most of our gatefolds are 5 x 7 inch when closed. Interlocking Rings and Star-Crossed Lovers are square, 148mm x 148mm. All are printed on 250gsm card with a matte finish, in any colour or gradient. White envelopes are included, and black envelopes are available as an add-on.

We ship to the UK, US, Canada, Australia and a range of other countries, with full tracking on every order. Unfortunately we're unable to ship to the EU at the moment due to new packaging regulations.

What is the lead time?

Four to five weeks from order to delivery, including your digital proof and any revisions. Please contact us for rush orders.
