'Til Death Do Us Part Wedding Ideas Beyond the Stationery
The stationery does the heavy lifting, but the details around it matter. A few things we'd point you towards:
- Candlelight wherever the venue allows it. This theme lives in low light.
- Dark velvet and dried flowers over anything plastic. It's what we chose for our own wedding.
- Skeletons as a thread, not a costume. A nod on the sign, the menu and the invitation suggests the theme without ever shouting it.
- Your own colours. It doesn't have to be black. Every piece can be printed in any colour or gradient, and sage green is a personal favourite of ours.
- Thank you cards with your own wedding photo, in the same design, to finish the story.
That thread running through the whole day is what makes it feel considered and intentional, and not like a fancy dress party.
The Story Behind 'Til Death Do Us Part
'Til Death Do Us Part has been around since 2019, a wedding invitation for couples who wanted their stationery to say forever and mean it differently. It has had various versions since, from our original skeletons to the updated Skeleton Lovers illustration that came later.
It was our first design to earn serious attention, and the one that showed us there were thousands of couples out there who felt exactly the same way we did. One even had it tattooed, and we're endlessly honoured by that. There's a cowboy skeleton edition too, which deserves a moment of appreciation.
