More Extra, More Dramatic | The Story Behind Star-Crossed Lovers
I took Romeo and Juliet as the starting point, but I wanted it to feel like us rather than like Shakespeare. Bold, punchy, unapologetically romantic and a little dangerous. Joshua pushed the bleeding heart illustration further, added the crossed swords, and leaned into the symbolism of two forces meeting in the middle. Passion and fate. The result felt immediately right.
Romeo and Juliet is not really a tragedy if you read it as a love story about two people so certain of each other that nothing else could compete. That is the energy this collection is built around. For couples planning a dark academia celebration, a gothic ceremony, or simply a wedding where understated was never part of the plan, goth wedding invitations should feel as considered and dramatic as everything else about the day. These do.
